Regional In-Person Tour (奥斯维戈湖, OR)
This unique educational event will provide an in-depth look at Lakeridge Middle School, a new timber-framed public-school building for 奥斯维戈湖 School District, in 俄勒冈州. Designers of the 2-story, 141,000-sf building utilized glulam beams, wood-sheathed shear walls, dowel laminated timber, and columns made from whole tree trunks to create a unique learning space centered around nature and the principals of biophilic design. Attendees will tour the site with members of the project team, who will share strategies for successful, code-compliant mass timber projects, including insight on design, 详细说明, and construction techniques utilized throughout the building. The tour format encourages questions and discussion, and attendees can expect to leave with, not only with insights on the project’s design and execution, but factors that influenced material and detail selection.
Please join us before the tour for lunch.
